A modern small upright. Full size keyboard, 88 keys, three pedals, in tune and ready to practise on. Makes like Yamaha, Kemble, Zender and Bentley, depending on what we have.
These are pianos that came to us through Piano Recycling and part exchange. Every one is checked over before it goes out, and anything that will not hold its tuning does not become a rental piano. They are second hand and they look it in places. They play properly, which is the part that matters when you are learning.
We do not rent digital pianos, grands or anything for events.
Correct. You give four weeks notice whenever you like and the rental ends at the end of your next four week billing period. In practice that means about eight weeks is the least anyone pays, because you have already paid for the period you are in.
Talk to us. We would rather sell you the piano than drive out and collect it, so there is usually a sensible number to be had.
We cover the tune about 10 days after delivery and one tune every year after that. If you want it done more often than that, it is £79 and we will arrange it.
Send us photos of the stairwell first and we will tell you honestly whether it is doable. Second floor is £99 per floor and only after that assessment. Third floor and above we turn down, because we would have to bring it back down again and the risk is not worth it to either of us.
Only counts if it takes a piano. An upright is about 1.5 metres wide and most domestic lifts are not. The booking form asks, and if you are not sure, send a photo.
Normal wear is ours to deal with. Anything beyond that is yours, and most home contents policies will cover a rented piano if you tell them it is there. No deposit either way.
No. You get a checked, tuned, playable beginner upright from stock. That is how the price stays at £10 a week.
Because moving a piano is the expensive part and we do it twice, once out to you and once back. The £159 covers both trips plus the tuner. The weekly price is low because the pianos came to us through recycling, so we are not paying off an instrument.
